Just like Rhonda Winter, this one is long overdue.
Jeff McIntire-Strasburg was one of the originals at our network, all the way to back the Green Option (GO) days. Jeff hired me at GO in 2008, and I probably wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing if it weren’t for him. I bet there are quite a few writers out there who can say the same, thanks to his work at GO and at sustainablog or his time teaching English.
Jeff is patient, kind, and just an all around great guy. I love his writing, so I wasn’t very surprised when he shared that Life Hacker picked up his recent piece on how to make a zeer pot. A zeer pot provides electricity-free refrigeration that uses evaporative cooling to keep food and drinks cool even on a hot day.
Sustainablog – Jeff’s site – launched in 2003 when he was an assistant professor of English. The idea was to practice what he preached to his students, so he began writing about sustainability. He hasn’t stopped since.

Jeff is the man. Very glad to “know” him!
David you summed up my whole post in four words.
You’re very kind, Becky… thank you so much!
You’re very kind, David… and back at’cha… hope the new gig is going well!
